Cardiovascular System The Effects of Exercise Lab Activity : Need to get your students up and moving? Maybe even take them outside when the weather is good? If so this lab is for you. The Effects of Exercise on the Cardiovascular System can be used during any unit on the heart or Cardiovascular System. This lab is very flexible as it will work for any level student from English Learner - EL - to more advanced students. This product includes a complete lab, guidelines, answer guidelines and an opportunity for further investigation. Lab objectives include: determining your heartbeat rate by taking your pulse and hypothesizing the effect of exercise on heartbeat rate, comparing your heartbeat rate during rest and during exercise, and analyzing what happens in your body before, during, and after exercise in relation to the cardiovascular system. This lab can cover 1-2 class periods depending on how you want to structure it. Google Interactive Digital! Autobiography Report : We have developed this INTERACTIVE DIGITAL report template to engage students either in the classroom or at home using a 1:1 device environment. This original product is provided through web-based Google file sharing, contained on the Internet 'cloud' and allows you and your students to access, edit, and print files from any computer or device. Students work on their report template directly in the file on their device or computer. This product will also work with Microsoft OneDrive (instructions included!) Templates are included to create, develop, write, edit, present, and assess your students’ Autobiography Report. This report (or performance task) is also designed to not only to learn and explain the new information, but answer some higher level thinking questions (Common Core Essential Questions) to apply the knowledge they have learned. Students will do all of their research via the Internet and print media (this is not included in this product). Our product is designed to assess and show what your students have learned and share it with you, their parents, and perhaps the class if you’d like them to present it. A printable version of this report is also included in this product! A simple rubric and student checklist is included. Cardiovascular System Circulatory System Heart Disease Lab : This Estimating the Risk of Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) Lab is part of my Cardiovascular - Circulatory System unit that covering the heart and cardiovascular system of the human body. This lab is very flexible as it will work for any level student from English Learner - EL - to more advanced students. This product includes instructor guidelines, a complete lab, and answer key. It will take the student through 5 case studies using various risk factors to come up with a total risk factor score for CHD. This lab usually lasts from lasts from 1 to 1 ½ days depending on your level of student.
